Rachel Ziemba and Vitoria Saddi
Rachel Ziemba is RGE Monitor's lead analyst for oil exporting economies and China. She has a particular interest in the strategies of sovereign wealth funds, their impact on financial markets and energy supply risks. She has an AB from the University of Chicago and an M Phil in International Relations (International Political Economy) from St Antony’s College, Oxford University. Before joining RGEMonitor.com, she worked for the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) in Cairo and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in Ottawa. She has been a frequent contributor to Wilmott Magazine on emerging market issues and investment strategies. Her book Scenarios for Risk Management and Global Investment Strategies (co-written with William T. Ziemba) was released by Wiley in January 2008. Vitoria Saddi is senior Latin American economist at RGE monitor. Previously, she was chief economist at Queluz Asset Management and Latin American economist at Salomon Brothers in Sao Paulo. Ms. Saddi was a lecturer at the University of California at Long Beach and Ibmec Business School. She received the BNDES award for the best master dissertation in Economics in Brazil. At the University of Southern California she received the award for outstanding teaching assistant and at Ibmec the award for excellence in teaching.
