Nouriel Roubini, Chairman
As Chairman of RGE Monitor, Nouriel provides strategic guidance for RGE Monitor's business and content. Professor Nouriel Roubini is an internationally known expert in the field of international macroeconomics. He is a Professor of Economics at New York University's Stern School of Business and is also the co-founder and Chairman of RGE Monitor, an innovative economic and geo-strategic information service named one of the best economics websites by BusinessWeek, Forbes, the Wall Street Journal and The Economist. Professor Roubini served as a senior adviser to the White House Council of Economic Advisers and the U.S. Treasury Department; has published numerous policy papers and books on key international macroeconomic issues; and is regularly cited as an authority in the media. He received an undergraduate degree at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and a Ph.D. in Economics at Harvard University, and was previously a faculty member at Yale University. Dean Daniels, Chief Executive Officer Dean Daniels is Chief Executive Officer of RGE Monitor. Daniels has been a leader in the online information industry since the beginning of the Internet's development . Prior to joining RGE Monitor, Daniels served as Chief Operating Officer of Seed Media Group, a science media company based in New York City. He has also served as Senior Vice President at Gartner, Inc. in charge of the worldwide research business where he managed a division of more than 1,300 employees worldwide. From 1998-2001, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of theglobe.com, an online community network. Daniels spent the first 20 years of his career in broadcast television, including 14 years at CBS Television in a variety of roles. Most notably, he was the founder and VP, General Manager of the CBS New Media division, helping the network to launch and establish its digital news and entertainment presence. Henry Lichstein, Board Member Mr. Lichstein has been a Venture Partner with Palisades Ventures, LLC, a venture capital management company in Los Angeles investing in companies in broadband and interactive services. From 1970 to 2000 he was with Citibank, most recently responsible for technology strategy and advanced development efforts, reporting to Chairman John Reed. He did the early work on Citibank's commercial Web sites, ran Smart Card pilots in Manhattan's Upper West Side and worldwide, pioneered early Electronic Commerce activities, spoke widely and championed E-Commerce in China, and made a number of successful Internet investments for Citibank. In the 1980's, Mr. Lichstein managed technology projects and ventures, and was an assistant to the Chairman. In the 1970's, he was Regional Treasurer in Nairobi, Kenya; the Consumer Group's Financial Controller, Treasurer; and Chief of Staff to the Group Head. Camille LeBlanc, Board Member As the founding CEO of RGE Monitor, Ms. LeBlanc helped build the team that created RGE Monitor's next generation technology and editorial organization platform. Camille has been working with start-ups since 1992. As Director of Strategic Alliances, she launched new business units and developed strategic alliance portfolios for small- and medium-size software and hardware companies. She was responsible for screening, selecting and negotiating co-development, co-marketing and world wide licensing agreements in the digital media and enterprise computing markets. Camille has a Bachelors degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Masters degree from the School of Information Management and Systems at the University of California, Berkeley. Nicholas Checa, Board Member Principal at Kissinger McLarty Associates, formerly Partner at Medley Group Advisors William H. Janeway, Board Member Board Member William H. Janeway is Senior Advisor at Warburg Pincus. Dr. Janeway received his doctorate in economics from Cambridge University where he was a Marshall Scholar. He was valedictorian of the class of 1965 at Princeton University. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus in 1988, where he was responsible for building the information technology practice, he was executive vice president and director at Eberstadt Fleming. Dr. Janeway is a director of Fortent Corp., NYFIX, Inc.,O'Reilly Media, Nuance Communications and Wall Street Systems. He is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cambridge in America, University of Cambridge and Co-Chair of Cambridge’s 800th Anniversary Capital Campaign, and a Founder Member of the Board of Managers of the Cambridge Endowment for Research in Finance (CERF). Mohamed El-Erian Dr. Mohamed El-Erian is co-CEO and co-CIO for PIMCO, the world's largest bond investor with $746.3 billion of assets under management as of December 2007. Prior to rejoining PIMCO, El-Erian was President and CEO of Harvard Management Company (HMC), managing Harvard's $34.9 billion endowment among other assets. In addition his roles at HMC, El-Erian also served as a member of the faculty of Harvard Business School and as deputy treasurer of the University, providing advice to the president, chief financial officer, and other administrators on Harvard's management of its financial resources. El-Erian was voted one of the "Ten Most Important Executives in LatAm Borrowing" in the poll conducted by Emerging Markets March 2000. In his first tenure at PIMCO, El-Erian was Managing Director and a senior member of the portfolio management and investment strategy group as well as head of the firm's emerging market portfolio management team. He managed more than $28 billion in emerging market debt as head of the firm's emerging market portfolio management team, as well as other bond portfolios in domestic and global fixed income. El-Erian spent fifteen years with the IMF, leading policy work on debt and country issues. Arturo C. Porzecanski Formerly chief economist for emerging markets at several Wall Street firms (including Head of Emerging Markets Sovereign Research at ABN AMRO), now teaching and carrying out research in international economics and international finance at American University, Columbia University, and New York University. One of the pioneers of emerging-markets research on Wall Street. Member of Council on Foreign Relations.
